MM Series
Seibu successfully developed the world’s first CNC Wire Electrical Discharge Machine (W-EDM) in 1972. By adding a variety of functions to the CNC W-EDM, it was reborn as M-series of high-speed, high-precision W-EDM in 2003. And now, our never-ending quest into research for precision led to the development of the MM-series. With a fine and silky smooth motion, an electrode wire can cut metal as desired. Our high standards for precision are proof of a traditional scraping technique called “KISAGE”. The “KISAGE” is repeated until perfection is attained to make very smooth, high-precision finishes on metal surfaces which a machine cannot attain. Seibu will continue to develop new advanced technologies to take that extra step in EDM manufacturing. 1972

Thermal Adjust 24 (Patent ·Trademark Pending)
This automatically corrects the displacement of wire vertical position due to the surrounding temperature change or effect of the heat by electric discharge. This function can enhance the shape accuracy of product. It is also possible to obtain better cutting accuracy without spending money on temperature control facility.


Automatic E-Mail Function (option)
It is possible to monitor various conditions such as [progress], [alarm], [cutting finish], etc. of machine operation status using e-mail by mobile-phone.
